Intensity Ladders

Back to basics for this ride! Remind riders that mastering the basics is the key to performance. Coach them through pedal stroke drills to establish strong mental focus on their stroke and revisit (or introduce!) the four quadrants that make-up the pedal stroke circle. Three intensity ladders follow using the “back to basics” walk, jog, run Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE) scale. Riders can certainly use their meters and wrist technology to augment what they feel with what the actual power output and heart rate reaction is, but I invited riders to be technology-free for the mind-body connection.

You can assign movements or have riders chose in or out of the saddle.
